Hello and welcome to our new (now quarterly) Spring Newsletter.
At last that cold, gloomy winter appears to be behind us and the nights are quickly drawing out. The beer gardens are starting to fill up and being British I even donned my shorts last week with the first signs of some warmish sun (though perhaps not the best sight). However, I'm sure you would agree that it is a welcome change from the last few month's.
For the first newsletter of the year and decade we concentrate on some news closer to home. Last month saw opening of the exciting new Seco Lounge in Royal William Yard, Plymouth. This lounge, the thirteenth in Loungers portfolio, has made a very impressive start as well! On top of this a fourteenth lounge, the Ludo, is imminent in Bournemouth.
Also up for discussion this month is the 'rise of the Android'. Now this article has nothing do do with the fact that I myself have recently aquired such a device, but Android phones look set to make quite an impact, despite the current dominance of the iPhone.
We also look at the new ventures of some more of our clients, namely Quba Sails and Spur Restaurants. The former is opening two new sites before the summer; one in Chichester and the other in Porstmouth. Spur's, whose UK expansion is continuing, are the focus of our client profile.
We also debate more technological issues, this time the benefit of the right EPoS system for your business and its importance in affecting the most valuable aspects of a shopper's experience.
We end with yet more news on IRC client Loungers, who are to create an exciting new brand named Cosy Club. The first of these will be in Taunton on the Hunt's Court site, recently aquired for them by Insight. With around 12 more Cosy Club's planned before the end of 2013 and more Loungers to come, it is certainly a very exciting time for the Bristol based company.
