Draft House Step Up Expanion Plans Draft House, the three-strong London-based pub concept founded by Charlie McVeigh, has stepped up its plans for expansion with the appointment of a specialist property advisor as it seeks further sites in the capital. The group, in which Luke Johnson has a significant minority stake, has appointed Insight Retail, which specialises in working with emerging concepts, to seek sites inside the Greater London. Insight currently also works with Loungers and Las Iguanas on both group’s growth strategies. The first Draft House was launched in Northcote Road, Clapham in November 2009 by McVeigh, the former owner of the Bush Bar & Grill, Woody's nightclub and the Grand Union pub in London. The niche concept, which offers quality British food a diverse range of British and international beers, has since been rolled out to further sites in Battersea and near Tower Bridge.
